Jordan first reached out to me for her long sleeve lace wedding gown while living in New Jersey. She absolutely loved the idea of having a custom dress, and like most of our brides, knew what she wanted. I think that’s most of the reason she came to work with me, as she couldn’t find exactly what she was looking for somewhere else.
Initially, we had a phone consultation. Then, I followed up with sketches and swatches that were mailed to her. Until she was able to make it back to Buffalo, we discussed further details over the phone. Her family presently lives here and the wedding was here, so she was able to travel back-and-forth fittings for fittings.
The dress overall was a sexy but elegant combination of illusion heading with structure around the bodice and long sleeves with a stretch crepe skirt and train. The train was very dramatic with a large cut out of only lace.
She allowed me to take some creative liberties around the skirt design, and I did some interesting seaming that also allowed me to fit the dress just the way she liked. Tight!
Jordan and her now-husband are some of the sweetest people I’ve met. I was so thankful to be able to work with her for her wedding. I finished off her long sleeve lace wedding gown with a beautiful fingertip length veil.
