Sewing pros and novices alike know that the selvedge (or self-edge) is always unused. It is there to prevent the fabric from fraying and act as sort of a border as the fabric is being woven (or knit!). So what to do with the left overs…?
Jeffrey rolled them up and tossed them in this glass apothecary vase with some other sewing odds and ends. How cute does it look on our drafting table?! For things that have to be handy when you need them, they sure decorate the room nicely!!
You can even use them as pin cushions!! Saves you some money and the world some trash.
Does anyone else have any ideas to share for using fabric scraps?!
