When Cris brought in her family’s heirloom satin wedding gown, she knew exactly what she wanted. For Cris’ satin wedding gown reconstruction, we separated the outdated top from the skirt, and built an entirely new bodice. The bodice was made of delicate silk georgette and chiffon. The chiffon overlapped at the neckline just a touch. It was a subtle yet modern touch to the elegance of the overall gown. The slightly billowy sleeves were made of chiffon as well. The long train stayed – of course! We also added a grosgrain belt to clean up the waist area. See some additional photos of Cris on her wedding day on the blog!
