Spending Spring snowed in!!

So yesterday Jeff, Jessica (a friend who tagged along for the ride) and myself headed east to begin Spring production in NYC. Yea, yea I knew that there was some rough weather ahead... but hey, we're from Buffalo. There's no amount of snow that a skilled Buffalo driver can't handle!

Christmas Eve Message

So it's 4:15 and Christmas Eve. I'm just closing up the shop now but taking a second to sit and look around. It hasn't even felt like Christmas until just now when I was left alone with my thoughts (and the Christmas music in the background). I've been so consumed with this new venture that I haven't had time to think about anything else!!

For the on-the-go man

You may be asking yourself - man?! I thought anatomy was a woman's retail store! Well we do have a few little things that are for the boys! And I'm not talking just to the guys who like their houses to smell like Creamsicles!!

For the Wino

This great gift idea comes from Jeff Todd, intern extraordinaire. I visited anatomy this morning in hot pursuit of the the most stressful sort of gift: the secret santa present for the one person in the office you know the least about. I hate it when that happens. What to do?

Aha! Take one handmade lippenscott soap co. "bottle of wine" soap + one wine bottle cork glass charm + one bottle of wine, and you have THE cutest, most multi-purpose gift ever.

For the illustrious upcycler

Recycling is so out. Upcycling is uptrending.

According to Wiki, Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.  Now, these jewels won't necessarily improve the environment as much as they are a definite upgrade in quality compared to your old department store costume jewelry.

For the lonely top layer: the cardigan.

The poor cardigan. Until recently is has been the overlooked and functional aspect of the outfit. Cold...? You just grab the closest chunky second layer to provide warmth without even considering how it coordinates with your perfectly planned outfit.  Well with the help of a little accessory, the cardigan has finally been granted a place in the oh-so coveted "ensemble."

It seems like everyone now a days is wearing a belted cardi. <looks down> Yeah... like I said...everyone.

For the Art Lova <3

I would like to dedicate this blog entry to One Mister Chris Collins.

There we go.

For the girly biker (and bicyclist!)

OK So I've been on a motorcycle oh... once. And it was around the block. But still... I felt the rush!! I completely understand the need for leather jackets on those things. Hello, windburn much? And the whole biker chick look can be a little intimidating...

right...? You can still look WAY feminine and cute on a bike, ladies!

For Modern Professional

Ladies, I've got to hand it to you. When you raided the modern American workplace back in the '80s, you did it with a certain...swagger. Nothing says, "We can do stuff, too!" like linebacker shoulders and a color-coordinated suede hat/pump/handbag/gloves combo. I say "you" because I was still rocking stirrups and scrunchies back then. I had nothing to do with your shoulder pads.

For the mantle

Stockings are SO last season ; )

Try something new this holiday season and don the mantles gay apparel with hand knitted oversized mittens. They are made from 100% cotton hand spun plaid fabrics that give them some serious rustic charm! They are perfect for stuffing full of little treasures on the mantle, or as a gift for your boss or teacher!
